Abstract

　【課題】実用性及び既存の多極プラグとの互換性を確保しながら極数を増加させた多極プラグ及び多極ジャックを提供することを目的とする。 【解決手段】本実施形態に係る５極プラグは、導電性金属からなる第１乃至第５電極（１１ａ～１１ｅ）と、各電極（１１）間を絶縁するための絶縁体からなる絶縁カラー（１２ａ～１２ｄ）とから構成されている。第５電極（１１ｅ）は、他の電極（１１ａ～１１ｄ）と比較して、芯棒部（１４）での外径が太くなっている。５極ジャック（２０）は、合成樹脂からなる絶縁性の筐体（２１）と、第１～第５導電端子（２３ａ～２３ｅ）と、スイッチ用端子（２４ａ，２４ｂ）と、第４導電端子（２３ｄ）に取り付けられてジャックの入口である開口部分に位置する進退部材（ストッパー）（２５）と、を備えている。進退部材（２５）は、筐体（２１）の開口に突出するように付勢されており、突出したときに当該開口の直径を細く規制する。
