Abstract
内燃機関(1)の吸気通路(10)は、気筒(2)毎に設けられた独立通路(20)と、その独立通路(20)が接続されて互いに異なる気筒(2)で共用され、気筒(2)ごとに作用する吸気圧力波を制御する吸気制御弁(17)を備えた共通通路(21)を有する。そして、吸気弁(12)からサージタンク(16)に至る通路長さが長い気筒(2)に対して設けられた独立通路(20)の通路断面積を、通路長さが短い気筒(2)に対して設けられた独立通路(20)の通路断面積よりも大きくする。これにより、通路長さが不揃いの気筒(2)に到達する吸気圧力波の速さを調整できる。
