Abstract

 光ディスクの記録密度を高密度化してもデータの再生を安定に行うことができるようにするランイン領域のビットパターンを提供する。  本発明の光ディスクは、複数の記録ブロックに分割されたトラックを複数備えている。複数の記録ブロックの各々はランイン領域とデータ領域とを含む。ランイン領域には所定のランインビットパターンを記録可能であり、データ領域には記録対象のデータを所定の変調則に従って変調した複数種類のビット長のビットパターンを記録可能である。この光ディスクでは、複数種類のビット長のビットパターンのうち、各ビットパターンに対応する空間周波数の少なくとも1つが、OTFカットオフ周波数より高い。ランイン領域に記録されるランインビットパターンは、複数種類のビット長のビットパターンのうち、空間周波数がOTFカットオフ周波数よりも高いビットパターンを除いたビットパターンで構成される。
