Definitions
- the present invention relates to labels used for the identification of consumer products, and in particular to identify beers packaged in glass containers.
- the labels used for the identification of consumer products, in particular beer packaged in glass containers are well known in the art. These usually consist of a small square sheet of printed paper with the product, brand and manufacturer data, which is glued by means of an adhesive to the cylindrical body of the bottle in which the beer is packaged.
- This label only has the function of identifying the product on the sales sites. Subsequently, it no longer has any function. In some parts of the land where beer consumption is common, people who gather to drink it, demand it cold. Therefore, these products are usually kept in a refrigerator to have them ready for consumption. When serving, the bottle is wet on the outside, which softens the adhesive that holds the label. People who are enjoying the liquid content have a tendency to try to remove the label from the package. This seems to cause some pleasure to those who drink beer. Sometimes the label is removed from the bottle in a complete state, while at other times the label is broken. Either way the idea is that while drinking the liquid, the labels that have already fulfilled their main function must be completely removed from the bottle in accordance with the practice established by many of the consumers.
- the present invention provides a double label, comprising a base substrate and a cover, which can fulfill the main function of identifying the manufacturer of the product, the product itself and containing all other data and information required for the marketing of the product, and additionally provide a game of distraction to customers consumers of the product.
- Said game also has the advantage of contributing to the advertising of the product and to a greater sale, as will be seen from the detailed description of the present invention.
- Figure 1 is a plan view of the label of the invention.
- Figure 2 is a perspective view of the label showing how to remove the base substrate cover to discover the game.
- Figure 3 is a plan view showing the removal of the substrate cover to discover the game.
- Figure 4 shows a plan view of the label of the invention without the cover showing the game.
- Figure 5 shows a rear elevation view of the tag of the invention.
- Figure 6 shows a plan view of a preferred embodiment of the label of the present invention.
- Figure 7 shows a perspective view of the label of Figure 6 showing the cover in the process of being removed from the substrate.
- a label 1 which generally comprises a substrate 2 that has the game printed and also fulfills the support function attached to the package, a cover 3 covering the entire substrate surface in order to cover the game and also provide the function of identification tag.
- a portion 4 of said cover 3 has the ability to be easily removed from the substrate by the consuming user and have access to the game that appears when removing said cover 3.
- Said cover 3 has a generally square or rectangular shape and preferably has the same surface dimension as that of the substrate 2, and may be of a smaller surface dimension.
- shape of said cover may be different from square or rectangular. For example it could be oval, circular, trapezoidal or any other regular or irregular polygonal shape.
- Said cover has a concentric inner zone or portion 4 whose perimeter is delimited by a line of weakening 5.
- zone 4 On one of its edges or vertices, in accordance with the preferred form, zone 4 has a tongue 6 which extends to coincide with the corresponding edge or vertex of the substrate 2.
- Said tab 6 serves for the user to take it with his fingers and lift and detach the cover 3 from the substrate 2 exposing the proposed game with which he can interact with his fun partners.
- At one end of the deck an irregular drawn shape is shown simulating a star in which you can write a legend that draws the user's attention to the game that is under the deck.
- Said cover is adhered to the substrate so that the portion of the cover surrounding the inner zone 4 is fixedly adhered to the substrate 2, while the area interior 4 is releasably adhered thereto.
- the cover 3 is adhered to said substrate 2 by a strong type adhesive throughout the portion surrounding the area 4 of the cover 3 so that it is fixedly adhered to the substrate 2 and only the zone 4 is removed or detached from the cover 3.
- FIGS 2 and 3 show the tongue 6 rising to remove the portion 4 of the cover 3.
- the game presented in Figure 4 is given as a non-limiting example. Other possible games can be embodied in the substrate 2.
- the game illustrated in Figure 4 has the objective that all consumers who are gathered enjoying the consumer product, such as a beer, participate in the game.
- a matrix with nine pictures is presented, in each box there is written or stamped a number covered by a resin.
- the game consists of scraping three consecutive frames on each of the labels that each consumer has. Said three randomly printed numbers appear in said three frames.
- the winning consumer is the one who obtains the highest possible sum of the three paintings he has uncovered.
- the dual objective of the invention can now be visualized by providing this label that meets its primary objective of provide advertising and identification of the product and the producer and also provides additional fun for consumers who will now enjoy much more of their practice of tearing off the labels on the product's packaging.
- Figure 5 shows the back of the substrate 2 of the label 1.
- the glue or adhesive is applied which has the function of adhering the label 1 to the product package.
- the adhesive used for this function is a casein-based or casein-free adhesive that is resistant to moisture and cold water.
- Figure 6 shows a preferred embodiment of the label 1 'of the present invention in which a substrate 2' and a cover 3 'placed above and attached to one of the faces of the substrate is presented.
- the other side of said substrate 2 ' serves to place the glue or adhesive that will link the label with the packaging of the consumer product.
- the cover 3 'and the substrate 2' have a rectangular shape.
- the cover 3 ' has its short side of the same dimension of the short side of the substrate 2', and has its long side of smaller dimension to that of the long side of the substrate 2 ', so that, as shown in Figures 6 and 7 two ends of the substrate 2 'can be seen.
- the cover 3 ' is placed centered on the substrate 2'.
- the cover 3 ' shown by one of its vertices is shown.
- These adhesion points 10 consist of a "hot melt” type adhesive. This adhesive is distributed bordering the periphery of the cover 3 'on the substrate 2' in a pattern of dots or stripes short, although it can also be achieved with a continuous line of adhesive.
- the present invention has been described in relation to a preferred embodiment related to the beer product. But it is evident to those skilled in the art that the present invention can be used and applied and adapted for other types of products. Similarly, the game described is just an example that should not be taken in any way as limiting the invention, since other games can be designed by those versed in the subject without altering the spirit and scope of the invention. As a non-limiting example, instead of the game described, when scraping a portion designed for it, a promotional prize that encourages the purchase of the product could come out.
