Abstract

 本発明の有機EL素子は、陽極と、陰極(Al層(15))と、陽極と陰極との間に配置され発光層14を含む有機層20とを備える。陽極のうち少なくとも有機層(20)側は透明な酸化物半導体層(ITO層(12))からなる。酸化物半導体層と有機層(20)との間に酸化モリブデン層が配置されている。そして、酸化モリブデン層を厚さが均一な層であると仮定したときの酸化モリブデン層の厚さが2nm未満である。
