  • the device for positioning the seat belt for pregnant women intended for use with a standard seat belt in the car and containing a cuff that can be freely moved along the waist part of the seat belt, a pillow placed on the seat of the car and secured to the seat using the seat belt on the back of the seat while a pair of adjustable belts connected rigidly to the seat cushion, through detachable locks connected to the lower edge of the cuff so as to pull the cuff and but the lap portion of the seat belt down a full-time position along the lower abdominal area.
  • This eliminates the contact of the uterine region with the seat belt, thereby injuring both the fetus and the expectant mother US Pat. No. 5,005,865 of July 31, 1990).

  • the device according to the US patent is a rigid structure with limited movement of all belts (except for the diagonal) due to the adjustable but rigid tapes connecting the cuff with the pillow on which the pregnant woman sits. Therefore, the authors of the patent proposed to replace a rigid adjustable strap with an elastic, compressed in the initial state strap.
  • an elastic strap in the event of an accident can prevent a pregnant woman’s crotch rupture if the blow is not too strong. Abstract
