Abstract

 本発明は、検出素子の寄生容量を見かけ上低減して、光量検出時に検出素子自体の寄生容量の影響を抑制するものであり、表示領域の周辺の光量を検出するフォトセンサPSと、フォトセンサPSの出力と所定の基準値との比較を行うコンパレータ(102)と、コンパレータ(102)による比較結果に応じて表示エリアへ与える光量を制御するバックライトコントローラ(105)とを備える表示装置において、フォトセンサPSの受光部と絶縁膜を介して存在する金属に、プリチャージ電位の印加を制御するスイッチSWが接続されている。
