[20]
Mode for the Invention
[21] Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings in FIGS. 1 to 8. The aspects and features of the present invention and methods for achieving the aspects and features will be apparent by referring to the embodiments to be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. However, the present invention is not limited to the embodiments disclosed hereinafter, but can be implemented in diverse forms. The matters defined in the description, such as the detailed construction and elements, are nothing but specific details provided to assist those of ordinary skill in the art in a comprehensive understanding of the invention, and the present invention is only defined within the scope of the appended claims. In the entire description of the present invention, the same drawing reference numerals are used for the same elements across various figures.
[22] On the other hand, a sliding apparatus applied in a handy terminal will be explained, but not limited thereto. The present invention may be applied in various products using a sliding apparatus.
[23] FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating a handy terminal 12 according to the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a right side surface view of FIG. 1. FIGS. 3 to 5 show movement of a moving body 20 and a fixed body 40.
[24] Referring to FIG. 1, the handy terminal 12 includes a first body 14 equipped with a key pad (not shown) and a second body 16 equipped with a display(not shown). As illustrated in FIG. 1, the second body 16 may be provided with necessary buttons. The first body 14 and the second body 16 are overlapped and coupled by a sliding apparatus, and sliding-moved along a moving axial line 100 relatively to each other.
[25] Referring to FIGS. 2 and 3, an opening/closing apparatus 10 includes the moving body 20 connected to the first body 14 of the handy terminal 12, the fixed body 40 connected to the second body 16 of the handy terminal 12, and an elastic member 60. The fixed body 40 has roughly rectangular plate shape, and the moving body 20 is coupled on the fixed body 40. The fixed body 40 has roughly U plate shape, and is sliding-moved along the moving axial line 100 while being coupled to the fixed body 40.
[26] On the other hand, the fixed body 40 has first and second guide surfaces 144 and
146. The fixed body 40 has a depressed middle part having roughly rectangular shape, and an edge part disposed in circumference of the middle part so as to be protruded higher than the middle part. Accordingly, the middle part and the edge part are stepped, and the first and second guide surfaces 144 and 146 are provided in a side wall of the stepped portion (especially, the portion where a below-mentioned hinge 64a is located). The first guide surface 144 has straight line shape extended along a direction of the moving axial line 100, and the second guide surface 146 has arc shape extended from the first guide surface 144. The second guide surface 146 has an ascent part ascending with respect to the direction of the moving axial line 100 and a descent part descending with respect to the direction of the moving axial line 100. The fixed body 40 and the moving body 20 are connected by the elastic unit 60.
[27] The elastic unit 60 includes a housing 62, and first and second elastic bars 64 and 66.
One end of the first and second elastic bars 64 and 66 is inserted inside the housing 62, and an elastic body(not shown) is respectively installed to one end of the first and second elastic bars 64 and 66. The one end of the first elastic bar 64 is connected to the first and second guide surfaces 144 and 146 formed on the fixed body 40, and a guide groove 22 formed on the moving body 20 by the hinge 64a. The guide groove 22 is disposed so as to be approximately vertical to the first guide surface 144. The hinge 64a is sliding-moved along the first and second guide surfaces 144 and 146, and moved along the guide groove 22. Detailed explanation about it will be mentioned below. The one end of the second elastic bar 66 is hinge-connected to the fixed body 40 so as to be rotated.
[28] Operation of the sliding apparatus 10 will be explained below with reference to
FIGS. 3 to 5. Hereinafter, it is explained that the moving body 20 is moved while the fixed body 40 is fixed. However, since movement of the moving body 20 is relative to the fixed body 40, it can be understood that fixing of the fixed body 40 and movement of the moving body 20 may be replaced to fixing of the moving body 20 and movement of the fixed body 40.
[29] There will be explained about the case where the first body 14 and the second body
16 are overlapped in parallel to each other as shown in FIG. 2. Referring to FIG. 3, the hinge 64a is located in one end of the first guide surface 144 meeting the second guide surface 146, as well as located on the guide groove 22.
[30] Next, it explains that the first body 14 moves down from the second body along the moving axial line 100 as shown in FIG. 1. Referring to FIG. 4, when the first body 14 is descended, the moving body 20 connected to the first body 14 is moved to a lower part along the fixed body 40 connected to the second body 16, and the hinge 64a is moved to a lower part along the first guide surface 144. Accordingly, the housing 62
and the first and second elastic bars 64 and 66 are rotated clockwise. Referring to FIG. 2, when the first body 14 and the second body 16 are overlapped in parallel, the moving body 20 and the hinge 64a are returned to a position shown in FIG. 3. Especially, when the hinge 64a is located in one end of the first guide surface 144 meeting the second guide surface 146, the hinge 64a may not be moved anymore. A process for moving the hinge 64a along an ascent part of the second guide surface 146 and a process for moving the hinge 64a along the guide groove 22 are additionally necessary for making the hinge 64a move through the second guide surface 146.
[31] On the contrary to the case shown in FIG. 1, there will be explained about the case where the first body 14 moves up along the moving axial line 100 from the second body 16. As shown in FIG. 5, when the first body 14 moves up, the hinge 64a moves to a left side along the guide groove 22 and moves along the ascent part of the second guide surface 146. After that, the hinge 64a moves again to a right side along the guide groove 22, and moves along the descent part of the second guide surface 146.
[32] FIGS. 6 to 8 are views illustrating movement of the moving body 20 and the fixed body 40 according to another desirable embodiment of the present invention. Hereinafter, it will be explained only about a portion having difference from details explained through FIGS. 3 to 5.
[33] Differently from the above-mentioned explanation, the fixed body 40 has flat plate shape, and first and second sliding groove 44 and 46 are formed on the fixed body 40. The first sliding groove 44 has straight line shape extended along the direction of the moving axial line 100, and the second sliding groove 46 has arc shape extended from the first sliding groove 44. The second sliding groove 46 has an ascent part ascending with respect to the direction of the moving axial line 100 and a descent part descending with respect to the direction of the moving axial line 100. The first guide surface 144 explained through FIGS. 3 to 5 is provided in both side walls of the first sliding groove 44, and the second guide surface 146 is provided in both side walls of the second sliding groove 46. The hinge 64a is inserted inside the first and second sliding grooves 44 and 46, and sliding-moved along the first guide surface 144 inside the first sliding groove 44 and the second guide surface 146 inside the second sliding groove 46. Movement of the hinge 64a is shown in FIGS. 6 to 8, and detailed explanation about it will be replaced by the detailed explanation about FIGS. 3 to 5.
[34]
