Description

Description
ADVERTISING SYSTEM FOR COMMUNICATION APPARATUS USING CORD AND CORDLESS NETWORK AND
METHOD THEREOF
Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to an advertising system and method of a communication device using wired/wireless network and, more particularly, to an advertising system and method of a communication device using a wired/wireless network capable of forcibly exposing advertisement information stored in a memory region of a communication device of a selected user to provide information such as an advertisement to various communication devices such as a fixed line phone, a mobile phone, the Internet phone, or the like by using a wired/wireless network such as a wired Internet/wireless Internet/Wibro/W APAVCDMA, or the like. Background Art
[2] In general, in delivering an advertisement to a communication user from a computer and a communication device based on a wired/wireless network, the communication user should perform the process of driving an advertisement data file in his client terminal and the client terminal should maintain a state of being connected with an operating server that collects, processes and transmits information data such as an advertisement or the like via the wired/wireless network.
[3] In such an advertisement data driving method, because the state of being connected with the wired/wireless network should be maintained regardless of a communication environment, the corresponding communication activity is inconvenient and the connection environment of the wired/wireless network is degraded.
[4] Thus, a low-cost, effective advertisement would be allowing a user to be exposed to an advertisement even if his terminal (i.e., client terminal) is not connected in real time with the operating server via the wired/wireless network, for which, thus, research and development is required.
[5] Namely, as to utilization of public information provided free of charge or at a low cost based on the public services, the reason why the number of users accessing an information providing operating server is not much increased can be found from a business operating model that a fee for using the wired/wireless network for accessing the operating server should be paid.
[6] For example, in a message transmission method such as an ARS, a phone mail box, absence recording, SMS, VMS, MMS, or the like, corresponding information is collected, stored and re-transmitted by using a relay operating server. However, this message transmission method fails to receive much attention of users because users should receive a message via the operating server and the operating server connecting and responding process according to the utilization category of the operating server is very complicate.
[7] Namely, various communication devices and communication functions allowing voice communications and data communications have been continuously developed in various methods and forms, but the communication environment has not seen a new development in terms of utilization of database information supporting communications.
[8] Regarding the voice communication function, phone information for voice communications are merely obtained from a phone book guide leaflet, Internet searching, a local area advertisement guide booklet, or the like, so utilization of the information database field has not achieved much development compared with the advancement of information communication. In this respect, in fact, the information utilization in the Internet has risen to a certain level through search engines, but systematic utilization of phone information data or information database has made little progress in areas not suitable for using the Internet or computers such as a SOHO(Small Office Home Office), retail shops, restaurants, public areas, or the like.
[9] Database information may be effective in an environment in which computers are always turned on, namely, in an online computer state all day long, in offices of individuals or at homes, but actually, for now, utilization of information for daily lives in the online state with computers turned on always in offices or at homes accompanies much inconvenience and environmental limitations. Current communication devices have a tendency of inclining toward either data communication or voice communication, and techniques for improving a communication environment by linking voice communication and data communication are not sufficiently secured yet, so development of such techniques is required. The file processing module performs such processing by using the known art, so its detailed description will be omitted.
[72] Namely, the file processing module 17 is an element for optimizing transmission/ reception to enhance a transmission efficiency and stability suitable for the data transmission/reception communication characteristics of the terminal connected with various communication networks in the process of preparing data transmission after the information processing module 13 processes the exposure information data read from the DB server 20 (to be described), and in this case, the file processing module 17 uses various known file processing methods, namely, at least one or combined form of the compression/non-compression/division/modulation methods. Besides, various transmission processing schemes optimized according to a communication environment or characteristics may be used.
[73] For example, a real time data streaming type advertisement providing system and method may be employed for the file processing module 17 to transmit the exposure information data to the terminal, whereby the file processing module 17 transmits the exposure information data in a real time data streaming manner and the terminal forcibly drives a multimedia driving file of the exposure information data in real time.
[74] The DB server 20, which is connected with the wired/wireless network 3, classifies and stores the exposure information data which has been requested by the exposure information requester 30, and also records/stores member information/settlement information/service usage information of the exposure information requester 30, personal information/service providing information of the client who receives the exposure information data, and the like.
[75] Namely, the DB server 20 includes a member DB module 21 that stores information about a client who has admitted as a member and has agreed to reception of exposure information, a settlement DB module 23 that stores settlement information according to the use of a service, and a requester DB module 25 that stores information about the exposure information requester 30 whoh has requested the exposure information. Each module is configured to record or access data by using a DB manager (DBMS (Database Management System)) installed in the DB server 20.
[76] The thusly configured DB server 20 provides the recorded/stored data to the operating server 10 connected via the wired/wireless network 3. In this respect, in the present invention, it is schematically shown that the DB server 20 is configured separately from the operating server 10 and the both are connected and operated via the wired/wireless network 3, but the DB server 20 may be configured in the form of adding a function within the operating server 10.
[77] An advertisement method of the communication device using the wired/wireless network 3 constructed as described above according to the present invention will now be described.
[78] First, as described above, the present invention is operated by the advertisement system of a communication device using the wired/wireless network, which includes the client terminal 5 comprised of the voice communication module 5b (a communication chip set, a modem or a device operated in at least one of PSTN, CDMA, WCDMA, WIRELESS, Internet, GSM, PCS, VoIP-based communication environments) connected with the wired/wireless network 3 and establishing a voice communication environment, the display 5c displaying various information, and the memory module 5a storing various multimedia files and communication-related information data, the DB server 20 recording and storing the personal information of the client who has admitted the reception of the exposure information, the information regarding the exposure information requester 30 who has requested the exposure information, and the exposure information data provided by the exposure information requester 30, and the operating server 10 selectively reading information stored in the DB server 20, processing the read information, and transmitting the processed information to the client terminal 5 of the corresponding client.
[79] First, the operating server 10 operated in association with the wired/wireless network
3 receives a service usage request signal from the exposure information requester 30, performs authentication thereon, and generates/processes a query form related to the exposure information. And then, the operating server 10 requests the corresponding exposure information requester 30 to performing inputting (i.e., to fill it in). [80] Here, the query form may include exposure reception information such as the exposure duration, the exposure number, the exposure frequency, the expression method, automatic deletion, or the like, in relation to the exposure information, and preferably, the information about the client stored in the DB server 20 and the exposure information data received via the query form are matched and the client terminal 5 included within the category of the corresponding exposure information data is selected, to which the related exposure information data is transmitted.
[81] The operating server 10 performs a member authentication step of requesting a member authentication from the exposure information requester 30 for the use of a service, and a settlement step of billing for the use of a service.
[82] Preferably, the exposure information requester 30 may use a terminal put in an environment in which the terminal can be connected to the wired/wireless network 3, but the exposure information requester 30 may requests the exposure information through an operating firm of the operating server 10 offline.
[83] Second, the operating server 10 receives the exposure information inputted by the exposure information requester 30, processes it, and registers the processed information in the DB server 20.
[84] The exposure information data inputted by the exposure information requester 30 is processed into the multimedia file, and in this case, the multimedia file is at least one or a combined form of text/video/voice files. The exposure information data includes the exposure reception information such as the exposure duration, the exposure numb er, the exposure frequency, the expression method, automatic deletion, or the like, in relation to the exposure information to be received by the client.
[85] Third, the operating server 10 transmits data including the exposure information to the client terminal 5 connected to the operating server 10 via the wired/wireless network 3. Upon receiving the exposure information data, the client terminal 5 records/ stores the corresponding data in the memory module 5a.
[86] Meanwhile, in transmitting the exposure information data to the client terminal 5, the operating server 10 may further perform the step of converting the exposure information data according to at least one or a combined form of the compression/ non-compression/division/modulation methods in order to enhance the transmission efficiency and stability.
[87] Here, the operating server 10 may further perform a step of transmitting the exposure information data in a real time data streaming manner to the client terminal 5 so that the terminal 5 can forcibly drive the multimedia driving file of the exposure information data in real time.
[88] Fourth, in a state that the connection of the client terminal 5 to the operating server
10 is cut off, the exposure information data stored in the client terminal 5 is selectively driven to expose the corresponding exposure information in the form of multimedia on the display 5c.
[89] Meanwhile, preferably, the operating server 10 is configured to collect/store information about results of transmission to the corresponding client terminal 5, and additionally perform a service of providing the collected information when the exposure information requester 30 requests it.
[90] The exposure information data transmitted to the client terminal in the order as described above may be driven according to various driving methods as follows.
[91] The exposure information data stored in the client terminal 5, which includes the information such as the exposure duration, the exposure number, the exposure frequency, the expression method, automatic deletion, and the like, may be provided in the form of the driving program (file) that can be selectively operated in the client terminal 5, and such driving program (file) may be configured to be forcibly driven according to a set value regardless of a usage state of the client terminal 5.
[92] ® The driving program may be selectively driven according to a driving pattern when a usage environment of the client terminal 5 is established (preparation of communication, preparation of communication connection, information search, execution of communication, etc.).
[93] ® The driving program may be programmed such that it can be selectively driven when the user checks a message or transmits/receives a message or when the user manipulates the keypad by using the client terminal 5.
[94] © The forcible driving of the driving program may be performed as an emergency automatic output, an on-time automatic output, an automatic forcible output according to an operation of an infrared sensor, a radio type automatic forcible output and separately storing, an automatic forcible output instead of a reception bell sound, and a call connection after driving and outputting an advertisement.
[95] ® Driving of the driving program may be performed as one or more of exposure of a plurality of advertisements by successively replacing them, an up/down rotation type message exposure, a left/right caption type message exposure, a push-out insertion type exposure on at least one of upper, middle and lower ends, and an exposure occurring when a reception/origination number/re-dialing/message checking/dial button/function key button is operated.
[96] © The forcible driving of the driving program may be performed at an operation niche time of the client terminal in each process of a call preparation, call waiting, call connection, when call communication is being performed, and when a call is terminated.
[97] © The driving program may be driven to insert an advertisement into a supplementary communication service message of an SMS, VMS, MMS, and ARS, when the message is checked, or transmit an advertisement message before or after the message is checked.
[98] © The driving program may be provided in the form of a search menu to the client terminal so as to be selectively driven and exposed according to searching by the user.
[99] ® The driving program may be driven by performing a step of connecting to the operating server regardless of a usage state of the client terminal; a step of checking by the operating server whether or not the exposure information data stored in the client terminal is new; and a step of cutting off a connection to the operating server or receiving new exposure information data and performing updating, selectively, according to whether or not the exposure information data is new.
[100] ® The driving program may be programmed to drive and expose the exposure information data in the form of any one or more of a pop-up window, a banner window and a voice output on the display of the client terminal.
[101] The driving program, namely, the multimedia driving file is stored in the memory of the terminal and forcibly driven by the exposure information, and according to a system, the terminal may forcibly drive the multimedia driving file in real time immediately when the multimedia driving file is received in a real time data streaming manner so as to be exposed to the terminal.
