Abstract

In an optical element manufacturing method, a linear light guide body holding section (101), which has a coupling optical element (11A) and a prism (130), and a slider (15) are formed for an optical head (100). The coupling optical element (11A) and the linear light guide body holding section (101) are integrally formed of a resin material on the upper surface of the slider (15). Thus, the method for manufacturing the optical element which has a high optical efficiency, a low height and makes an alignment step and a manufacturing step shorter is provided.
