Abstract
消費電力と表示品質の両方が満たされる新しいドットマトリクス型の表示素子を有する装置およびその駆動方法が開示されており、この表示装置およびドットマトリクス型の表示素子の駆動方法は、各スキャンラインへの階調パルスの印加は、複数のサブステップで行われ、複数のサブステップの階調パルスは、それぞれ異なる基本パルス幅を有し、複数のサブステップの少なくとも1つのサブステップにおいては、選択されたスキャンライン内の複数の画素に、異なるパルス幅の階調パルスが同時印加される。
