Abstract

 高温の溶融物を取り扱うことができる回転翼式ポンプ、特に、Ca還元による金属Tiの製造時に、溶融CaCl2の移送に使用できる回転翼式ポンプを提供する。ポンプ本体に複数の溶融物吐出口(9)が設けられた、650~1000°Cの高温溶融物(12)を取り扱うことができる回転翼式ポンプである。複数の吐出口に接続されたそれぞれの吐出管は、前記溶融物を収容する容器(13)内、または容器外で合流させてもよい。吐出管(11)がポンプのフランジ(7)部を貫通する箇所において、前記溶融物を収容する容器内の吐出管に作用する熱膨張力差による応力を逃がしつつ容器内の気密を維持する機構を備えることとすれば、吐出管の熱変形、破損防止に有効である。Ca還元によるTiの製造時に、このポンプを溶融CaCl2の移送に使用すれば、Tiの製造を連続して円滑に行うことができる。
