Abstract

 光ヘッド装置200は、第1の光ビームの第1の発光点201aと、第2の光ビームの第2の発光点201bとを有する半導体レーザ201から選択的に出射され光ディスク107または231に向かう光ビームの一部を回折する回折格子210を備え、回折格子210は光ディスクのトラックの接線方向に沿った分割線で分割され、領域403と404の配置の関係は、回折格子210における第1の光ビームと第2の光ビームとの配置の関係に対応し、領域403は、前記第1の光ビームの光軸と交差する位置に配置され、領域402の位相と領域404の位相との位相差が180度、領域404の位相と領域405の位相との位相差が180度であり、領域404の幅は、第2の光ビームの光ディスクによる±1次回折光の、0次回折光からの位置ずれの量以下である。  それにより、2つの光源を使用してインライン差動プッシュプル法を行う時にトラッキング制御を安定に行える。
