The followings are detailed explanation of the technological composition of the invention based on the attached drawing.
As shown in drawings 1 a and 9, the apparatus for height control of grip for vehicles is composed of upper and lower clamp fixed at fixed bar (B) of the vehicle; connection rod (30) equipped with curved base assembled at the bottom of the lower clamp (2); curved cap (40) that is installed to provide elasticity to the spring (S1 ) attached to the connection rod (30); blow grooves (51 ) installed at the curved cap (40) and fixed pipe equipped with ball limitation groove (52); adjustment pipe (60) equipped with limitation pin (61 ) and ball input hole (62) that may be elevated with the help from the elasticity of tension spring (S2) located at the fixed pipe (50); limitation ball (70) that is inserted into the ball input hole (62); adjustment rod (60) that is equipped with limitation pin (61 ) and ball input hole (62) that copes with blow grooves (51 ) and ball limitation groove (52) and is elevated with the help from elasticity of the tension spring (S2) of the fixed pipe (50); limitation ball (70) inserted into the ball input hole (62); operation rod (80) installed with taper (81 ) that locks and unlocks the limitation ball (70) and is elevated with the help from tension spring (S3) located at the adjustment pipe (60); guide ring (90) that guides the elevation of the operation rod (80) at the top of the
adjustment pipe (60); grip (100) equipped with pin grooves (1 10) assembled at the bottom of the adjustment pipe (60); operation pin (200) assembled to the pin groove (1 10) located at the bottom of the operation rod (80); ring (300) installed at the bottom of the operation pin (200).
As explained previously, the fixed bar (B) is installed at the roof of the public transportation vehicle. Upper and lower clamps (10)(20) are installed at these fixed bars.
Since the upper clamp (10) and the lower clamp (20) is used at one unit, the upper and lower clamps (10)(20) are connected to the fixed bar (B) and is equipped with female screw (21 ) at the middle of the lower clamp (20) for an assembly of the connection rod (3). One unit of upper and lower clamp (10)(20) is tightly fixed with bolt (1 ) to the fixed bar (B).
The connection rod (3) is assembled to the bottom of the lower clamp (2) using a bolt. At the bottom of the connection rod, curved base (31 ) is equipped and male screw (32) is equipped at the top of the connection rod for the connection with the female screw (21 ) at the lower clamp. Spring (S1 ) is installed at the exterior of the connection rod (30).
The curved cap (40) is installed for elastic support of the spring (S1 ) to the connection rod (30). The upper part of the curved cap (40) has a semi-circle formation to cope with the curved base (31 ) of the connection rod
(30). At the upper middle portion of the curved cap (4), shaft hole (41 ) is formed for forward and horizontal movement of the connection rod (30). Also, the spring connection pin is installed at the curved cap (40) for the connection of the tension spring (S2).
The curved cap (40) is connected by being placed on top of the curved base (31 ) as shown in drawing 7a. Therefore, since the curved cap (40) receives elasticity (S1 ) from the spring while being placed on top of the curved base (31 ) of the connection rod (30), the curved cap (40) plays a role in balancing the center of mass of the grip (100) during normal status. Also, the curved cap (40) prevents necessary movement of the grip (100) as well.
The spring (S1 ) is compressed in between the lower clamp (2) and the curved cap (40) while being attached to the connection rod (30). Therefore, the spring (S1 ) compresses the curved cap (40) to the curved base (31 ).
The fixed pipe (50) is tightly fixed with a screw (2) while being attached to the curved cap (4). At the internal surface of the fixed pipe (50), blow grooves (51 ) are formed with adequate amount of distance from each other. Also, many levels of ball limitation grooves are formed in between blow grooves of the fixed pipe (50). At the bottom of the fixed pipe (50), O-ring (400) is installed. The upper part of the pin groove (51 ) of the fixed pipe (50) is opened for the assembly of the limitation pin (61 ) of the adjustment pipe
(60) and the bottom part forms a closed "U" shape in order to safely lock the adjustment pipe (60) by using the limitation pin (61 ) during the height adjustment of the grip.
The adjustment pipe (60) is elevated with the help from the elasticity of the tension spring (S2) located at the fixed pipe(50). Numerous limitation pins
(61 ) are extruded at the exterior of the adjustment pipe (60) for the assembly with blow grooves (51 ) of the fixed pipe (50). Then, at the top of the adjustment pipe (6), ball input holes (62) created in between limitations pins (61 ) for the insertion of the limitation ball (70). At one side of the upper part of the adjustment pipe, spring connection hole (63) is formed for the connection of the tension spring (S2). At the internal surface of the adjustment pipe, spring base (64) is formed to support the compressed spring (S3). The limitation pin (61 ) plays a role in preventing disassembly of adjustment pipe (60) from the fixed pipe during the grip (100) height adjustment and also prevents rotation of the adjustment pipe (60)
The tension spring (S2) is fixed in between the curved cap (40) and the guide ring (90) to provide tension to the adjustment pipe (60).
The upper part of the tension spring (S2) is connected to the spring connection pin (42) of the curved cap (40) and the bottom part of the tension spring (S2) is connected to the spring connection hole (63) of the adjustment
pipe (60).
The limitation ball (70) is insrted individually for a horizontal movement in the ball input hole (62) of the adjustment pipe (60). When the limitation ball (70) is locked as shown in drawing 7a, the adjustment pipe (60) is locked at the location and its vertical movements are prohibited. When the limitation ball (70) is unlocked as shown in drawing 7b, the adjustment pipe (60) may be moved vertically.
The operation rod (80) is elevated with the help from the elasticity of the compressed spring located at the top of the adjustment pipe. The operation rod (80) is equipped with taper (81 ) that has small diameter at the top and large diameter at the bottom to lock and unlock the limitation ball (70). At the bottom of the operation rod (80), female screw is formed for an assembly of the operation pin (200). Therefore, when the taper (81 ) of the operation rod (80) is elevated by the compressed spring (S3), it pushes off the limitation ball (70) to the exterior as shown in drawing 7a and locks the limitation ball to the ball limitation groove (52) of the fixed pipe. When the limitation ball (70) is locked, the adjustment pipe (60) is locked at its position. Also, when the operation rod (80) is pulled down, the operation rod (80) will compress the compression spring (S3) as it moves down. When the operation rod (80) moves down, the taper (81 ) moves down as well to unlock the
limitation ball (70) as shown in drawing 7b. It then unlocks the vertical movement of the adjustment pipe (60).
The compressed spring (S3) is compressed in between the operation rod (80) and the spring base (64) of the adjustment pipe (6) while being assembled to the operation pin (200), the compressed spring (S3) plays a role in elevating the taper (81 ) of the operation rod (80) to lock the limitation ball (70) during normal status.
The guide ring (90) is attached to the adjustment pipe (6). The guide ring (90) balances the center of the operation rod (80) and guides the elevation of the operation rod (80). At the center of the guide ring, a hole for the assembly of operation rod (80) is formed.
As mentioned previously, the grip (100) is installed to promote safety of passengers without seats during the movement of the vehicle. The grip (100) is firmly fixed to the adjustment pipe (60) and pin grooves (1 10) are formed at the middle upper part of the grip (100) for operation pin (200) assembly.
The grip is equipped with the connection part (120) that is attached to the adjustment pipe (60) and fixed with glue or screws. Also, the grip (100) equipped with massaging buds (130) that massages the hands of its user to promote circulation and relieve stress.
The operation pin (200) is assembled with a screw at th the bottom of
the operation rod (80). At the top of the operation pin (200), the male screw (210) is formed for an assembly with the feral screw (82) at the operation rod (80). The bottom of the operation pin (200) penetrates through the pin groove (1 10) of the grip (100) and is extruded to the outside.
The ring (300) is assembled at the bottom of the operation pin (200). The ring (300) is attached for an easier pull down movement of the operation pin (200). When the ring (300) is pulled down, the operation pin (200) and the operation rod (80) will be pulled down together.
Also, according to the application examples of this invention, advertisements may be attached to the advertisement board (500) located at the outside of the fixed pipe (50) as shown in drawings 8a and 8b. As shown in the drawing, the advertisement board (500) has a bottle or a milk pack shape. Therefore, this invention may also provide various advertisement effects by using the advertisement board.
Also, according to the application examples of this invention in drawing 9, the ring (300) attached to the operation pin (20) is removable. When the ring (300) is removed, passengers may not adjust the height of the grip (100).
The detailed movements and overall operation of the invention based on the attached drawings are as shown below.
As shown in drawing 7a, the taper (81 ) of the operation rod (80) is
elecvated by the compression spring (S3) and pushes off the limitation ball (70) and locks the limitation ball to the ball limitation groove (52) of the fixed pipe. When the limitation ball (70) is locked, the adjustment pipe (60) is locked at its position. At this status, the grip (100) maintains its fixed position even when the passenger pulls down the grip (100).
As shown in drawing 7b, when the ring (300) connected to the operation pin (200) is pulled down the operation rod (80) along with the taper (81 ) to unlock the limitation ball (70). It then unlocks the vertical movement of the adjustment pipe (60).
However, as shown in drawing 7c, when the grip (100) is pulled down, the adjustment pipe (60) comes down as it pulls on the tension spring. Therefore, when the limitation ball (70) is unlocked, passengers may adjust the height of the grip (100) based on their comfortable position.
After adjusting the height of the grip (100) by pulling the grip (100) down, the ring (300) is released to move elevate the taper (81 ) of the operation rod (80) as shown in drawing 7d by using the restoring force of the compression spring (S3). It then will push off the limitation ball (70) to lock the position. When the limitation ball (70) is locked at a ball limitation groove and inhibits vertical movements of adjustment pipe (60) thus fixing the height of the grip (100).
As shown in drawing 7d, when the ring (300) is pulled down again after adjusting the height of the grip (100), it will unlock the limitation ball (70) as explained previously. When the limitation ball is unlocked, the restoring force of the tension spring (S2) will move the grip (100) to its original location. Therefore, this invention allows simple downward movement of the ring (300) to unlock the limitation ball (70) will cause downward movement of the adjustment pipe (60) for height adjustment of the grip (100). The height of the grip (100) may be adjusted to meet its user's needs.
Since this invention allows safe usage of the grip (100) during the movement of the vehicle by small passengers and children, it not only improves the connivence but it also improves the safety of the children.
Also, according to its application examples shown in drawing 8a and 8b, advertisements may be attached at the advertisement board located on the exterior of the fixed pipe (50) to achieve various advertisement effects. [Effects of the invention]
This invention allows height adjustment of the grip installed at public transportations to meet its user's physical status. It allows small passengers and children to conveniently adjust the height of the grip to improve the convenience as well as the safety of the children during the movement of the vehicle.
