Abstract

 表示性能と耐湿熱性の両方に優れた液晶表示装置を提供する。  本発明の液晶表示装置は、光源と、一対の基板と該基板に挟持された液晶層とを有する液晶セルと、ラクトン環含有重合体を含有する熱可塑性樹脂組成物を含むフィルムとを有し、該フィルムが、該液晶セルの該光源に近い側に配置されている。また、本発明の液晶表示装置は、ラクトン環含有重合体を含有する熱可塑性樹脂組成物を含むフィルムを有し、該フィルムの面内レタデーション(Re)及び厚さ方向レタデーション(Rth)がそれぞれ10nm以下であり、該フィルム上に光学異方性層を有することを特徴とする。
