Abstract
コレステリック液晶を備えた液晶表示素子の駆動方法であって、画素の液晶をプレーナ状態にリセットした後、相対的に短い電圧印加時間で液晶を駆動して仮の階調を表示させる第1ステップと、前記電圧印加時間より長い電圧印加時間で液晶を駆動して所望の階調を表示させる第2ステップとを有する駆動方法である。
