Abstract

Disclosed is a plastic material for optical devices, which is excellent in transparency and capable of maintaining its characteristics for a long time under various use conditions. Also disclosed is a plastic optical device using such a plastic material for optical devices. Specifically disclosed is a plastic material for optical devices, which is characterized by being a resin composition that is obtained by reacting at least one polycyclic hydrocarbon compound having a reactive group and an alicyclic hydrocarbon skeleton, with a polymerization-curable composition containing at least one kind of inorganic particles having a reactive group.
