Abstract

 外輪の強度を確保したまま、ブーツのシール性を向上させ、かつ、ブーツの端部の軸方向での位置決めを容易に行うことができる等速自在継手を低コストで提供する。  ブーツ11における大径端部12と小径端部13の内周面(31、47)に先端が尖状で断面三角形状の突状部(28、41)を設け、さらに、大径端部12と小径端部13の内周面(31、47)で、突状部(28、41)から軸方向両側に互いに等しい距離だけ離れた部位にシール部(30、45)を環状に1つずつ配置する。また、突状部(28、41)とシール部(30、45)は、大径端部12と小径端部13の外周面に形成するバンド嵌合溝(33、46)に嵌合したブーツバンド(15、16)の軸方向幅の範囲内に設ける。なお、シール部(30、45)の径方向長さは突状部(28、41)の径方向長さよりも短くする。
