Abstract

Provided is a magnetic disk substrate including a substantially flat main surface, an end face and a chamfered face between the main surface and the end face. A cross point, at which a direction along the main surface and a direction along the chamfered face intersect, is positioned, when a top plan view of the main surface is taken, at a substantially equal distance from the center of the substrate all over the circumference of the substrate.
