Abstract

 被検体を撮像する空間を挟んで対向配置された一対の静磁場発生手段と、前記一対の静磁場発生手段を所定間隔をもって保持する静磁場発生手段保持手段と、前記静磁場発生手段の撮像空間側に配置された一対の平板状傾斜磁場コイル構造体とを有したオープン型MRI装置において、  前記各平板状傾斜磁場コイル構造体は、傾斜磁場コイルへ駆動電流を流したときにコイル導線へ作用するローレンツ力によって傾斜磁場コイル構造体へ発生する変形を抑制する複数の位置においてそれぞれが対向する前記静磁場発生手段へ固定されていることを特徴とするオープン型MRI装置が提供される。
