Abstract

フラットパネルディスプレイを用い、その表示内容を切り換え可能な車両用表示装置において、表示内容の切り換えに際して利用者が情報を容易に認識することが可能な車両用表示装置を提供する。車両用表示装置は、車両情報を表示するフラットパネルディスプレイ１と、フラットパネルディスプレイ１の表示モードの切り換えを制御する制御手段４と、を備える。前記表示モードは、指針部と指標部とを表示して前記車両情報を示すアナログ表示部と数字を表示して前記車両情報を示すデジタル表示部とを並べて表示する計器表示モードと、前記車両情報表示モード以外の他の表示モード、とを少なくとも含み、制御手段４は、前記計器表示モードから前記他の表示モードに前記フラットパネルディスプレイの表示を切り換える場合に、前記他の表示モードにおいて、前記デジタル表示部を前記計器表示モードと同位置に維持させてなる。
