Abstract

A noncontact power receiving apparatus is provided with a power receiving coil having a spiral coil, a rectifier, a secondary battery, and an electronic device which operates by being supplied with a direct current voltage from the secondary battery. A composite magnetic body is arranged at least between the secondary battery and the spiral coil or between the electronic device and the spiral coil. The composite magnetic body has two or more layers of magnetic thin strips by having insulating layers in between. When the relative magnetic permeability of the first magnetic thin strip arranged on the spiral coil side is expressed by μd, the thickness of the first magnetic thin strip by td, the average relative magnetic permeability of the second and the subsequent magnetic thin strips other than the first magnetic thin strip by μu and the total thickness of such magnetic thin strips by tu, inequalities of μd·td≤60[mm], μu·tu≥100[mm] are satisfied. Thus, the power receiving apparatus wherein shielding performance of the rear surface is ensured, while optimizing suppression of inductance fluctuation of the primary coil (power supply side coil) is provided for a noncontact charger. An electronic device using such power receiving apparatus is also provided.
