Abstract

　本発明の一の態様に係る灯具用投影レンズは、非回転対称かつ楕円形状のコリメートレンズのうち中心角が２α度（α＝１８０／Ｎ、Ｎは３以上の整数）、かつ、左右対称の扇形レンズ部分を、周方向にＮ個配置した形状に形成されていることを特徴とする。かかる態様の灯具用投影レンズによれば、非回転対称かつ楕円形状のコリメートレンズのうち中心角２α度（α＝１８０／Ｎ、Ｎは３以上の整数）、かつ、左右対称の扇形レンズ部分を、周方向にＮ個配置した形状に形成されている。このため、コリメートレンズとしての機能を損なうことなく、平面視Ｎ角形（例えば四角形）又はＮ角形に近似の形状で、かつ、表面に共通のエッジ（Ｎ本のエッジ）を有する新規デザインの灯具用投影レンズを構成することが可能となる。
