Abstract

　光源基板の裏面に駆動回路素子を搭載した場合でも、発光素子からの熱をシャーシ底面に効果的に伝達することができ、内部に熱がこもらない構造のシャーシ、照明装置および表示装置を提供する。底面（４ａ）と、底面（４ａ）の周辺部から略垂直な方向に延在する側壁（４ｂ）とを有し、底面（４ａ）と側壁（４ｂ）とによって形成される空間の内部に、一方の主面上に発光素子（９）が、他方の主面上に発光素子（９）を駆動する駆動回路素子（１０）が、それぞれ搭載された光源基板（５）が配置されるシャーシ（４）であって、光源基板（５）の他方の主面のうち、発光素子（９）が搭載された位置の裏面に相当する部分が当接される熱伝導部（４ｄ）と、光源基板（５）の他方の主面のうち、駆動回路素子（１０）が搭載された部分が位置するように設けられた、駆動回路素子（１０）の当接を回避する回避構造（４ｃ）とを、底面（４ａ）に有している。
