  • the direct measurement type sensor module may also include a rotation direction sensor that detects the rotation direction of the concerned tire (clockwise direction or counterclockwise direction viewed from the shaft of the wheel) by using a pair of gravity detecting sensors and sends the detected rotation direction along with other tire state information, such as tire air pressure or tire temperature.
  • signal processing circuit 46 can extract the information of the tire rotation direction from the data received from discriminator circuit 40, 42, identify the rotation direction of the tire as the radio wave transmitter, and determine whether the concerned tire is a left wheel or right wheel. In this way, it is possible to determine or distinguish which of the four wheels (FL, FR, RL, RR) is the installation location of the tire as the radio wave transmitter based on the received radio wave phase difference information and the tire rotation direction.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif permettant d'identifier précisément la position d'une roue, chaque pneu étant muni d'un émetteur d'onde radio de configuration simple et compacte dont l'installation ne requiert aucune opération ni moyen spécial. Ce TPMS comporte des modules de capteur (14A, 14B, 14C, 14D) sur le côté transmission équipés de pneus (12FL, 12FR, 12RL, 12RR) installés sur une automobile (10) et un dispositif principal (16) sur le côté récepteur chargé dans une automobile. Le dispositif principal (16) est composé d'un groupe de deux antennes (18, 20), d'un récepteur (22) et d'un système d'affichage (24). Deux antennes sont agencées de façon appropriée pour recevoir les ondes radios transmises par chacun des modules de capteur et espacées par une différence de phase.
