Abstract
内燃機関の排気通路に、排気管同士を揺動可能に連結するボールジョイントなどの自由連結部材が設けられている場合に、排気浄化装置に供給する目的で還元剤添加弁から排気に添加された還元剤が、自由連結部材から外部に漏れ出すことをより確実に抑制できる技術を提供する。内燃機関1の排気管5に、NSR10とDPNR11が直列に設けられており、それらの間にボールジョイント3が配置されている。この場合に、DPNR11のNOx還元処理、SOx被毒回復処理またはPM再生処理の際に排気に還元剤を添加する燃料添加弁14を、排気管5におけるボールジョイント3の下流側に配置した。
