Abstract

 本願発明は、コリメーターのサイズを縮小して極低温検出器をより使いやすいものとし、検出器の性能を向上させるものである。近年の検出器技術の進展によって検出器サイズが拡大してきているため、コリメーターのサイズは、巨大化する傾向にある。本願発明は、微細なハニカムコリメーターと金属メッシュを用いたコンパクトな熱シールドである。ハニカムコリメーターは、多数のセルから成るハニカム構造体を用いて窓を分割することにより、分割数に応じてコリメーターの長さを短くすることができる。ハニカム構造体には、セラミック、金属またはグラファイトを用いる。各セルの内面をカーボンブラックやネクテルブラックなど黒色の艶消し塗料で塗装する。
