Abstract

小便器本体と、前記小便器本体の上面を斜めに透過してボウルに向かう電波ビームを放射し、被検知体からの反射波を受信し、検知信号を生成する高周波センサと、前記検知信号により、前記小便器本体への洗浄水を吐水または止水するバルブと、を備える小便器装置を提供する。前記小便器装置では、前記小便器本体の前記上面を含む第1平面と、前記高周波センサのアンテナの放射面を含む第2平面とがなす角度は、ゼロよりも大きく90度よりも小さい。前記第1平面と前記第2平面が交差する交差線は、前記小便器本体の左右方向と略平行であり、前記電波ビームは、直線偏波される。前記電波ビームの励振方向は、前記交差線と交差する。前記小便器本体を透過する前記電波ビームの強度は、前記上面で反射する前記電波ビームの強度よりも高い。
