Abstract

着火時期を制御することができる均一予混合圧縮自着火エンジンを提供する。 均一予混合圧縮自着火エンジンであって、エンジンシリンダ内に最小着火エネルギ以下のプラズマを生成するプラズマ生成部102と、プラズマにマイクロ波を照射するマイクロ波照射部104と、マイクロ波照射手段104及びプラズマ生成手段102に発振信号を送る制御装置106と、制御装置106に着火時期信号を送る着火時期信号発信装置108とを備え、制御装置106は、着火時期信号が表す着火時期より前の所定のタイミングにおいて、プラズマの生成及びマイクロ波の照射を行うことによって、シリンダ内にプラズマを生成する。
