Abstract

 超解像媒体(1)は、映像または音声等のコンテンツが記録された情報信号領域(11)と、再生を行うための設定値を調整するための再生設定値調整情報が記録されたテストリード領域(12)とが設けられている。情報信号領域(11)に形成された第1プリピット列の最短マーク長は、再生装置が有する光学系解像限界の長さよりも短い。テストリード領域(12)に記録され、設定値の調整を行う第2プリピット列におけるマーク長の種類は、第1プリピット列におけるマーク長の種類の一部または全部と同じである。また、第2プリピット列は、再生装置が有する光学系解像限界の長さよりも短いマーク長のプリピットを含む。さらに、第1および第2プリピット列におけるマーク長は、3種類以上である。これにより、超解像媒体(1)では、媒体ごとに最適な再生を行うことができる。
