More particularly, it relates to a control device for a pump station for the transfer of fuel from a fuel storage means connected to the pump to a fuel tank which is mobile relative to the pump, the control device being connected to a detector which is arranged to sense what type of fuel is in the fuel tank, or be- ing connected to a detector for detecting a code connected to the fuel tank for the type of fuel for which the fuel tank is intended, and which is arranged to produce, on comparing data given in advance with the sensed fuel or the detected code, a signal to the control device of the pump station, so that the pump station may be activated or deactivated for transferring fuel from the fuel storage means in question to the fuel tank.

  • the detector 13 is arranged to analyse the fuel fluid 11' which, in the form of a liquid or gas, is already in the fuel tank 11 and to compare the analytical result with data given in advance. As a minimum the detector 13 must be able to dis- tinguish between petrol and diesel fuel. By consistency between the analytical result and the data given in advance, the detector 13 will output an "accept signal" to a control device 17 placed in the pump station 1, and the pump station 1 may be activated for further use in a man- ner known per se.
  • the detector 13 may refrain from outputting a signal, alternatively output a "stop signal", which will influence the control device 17 to pre- vent the pump station 1 from transferring fuel from the fuel storage means 9 to the fuel tank 11.

  • the detector 13 may output either an accept signal or a stop signal. In a preferred embodiment the detector will output an accept signal when no hydrocarbons are detected, as may be the case with an unused fuel can, for example.

  • the signal received from the RFID tag will be compared with data given in advance and a signal will be generated and transmitted to the control device 17 of the pump station 1,o which will either activate or deactivate the pump station 1 for further use .
  • the detector 13, 15 is activated by depressing the finger grip 4' of the fuel dispenser 3'.
  • the detector 13, 15 can be activated by means of a separate switch (not shown) or by means of other methods of activation known per se.
  • the present invention provides means and a method for reducing the likelihood of the wrong fuel being filled into a mobile fuel tank.

Abstract

La présente invention porte sur un dispositif de commande (17) et sur un procédé pour une pompe (1) à essence pour transférer du carburant d'un moyen de stockage de carburant (9), relié à la pompe (1) à un réservoir de carburant (11) qui est mobile par rapport à la pompe (1), le dispositif de commande (17) étant relié à un détecteur (13, 15) qui est agencé pour détecter quel type de carburant (H') se trouve dans le réservoir de carburant (11), ou étant relié à un détecteur pour détecter un code (15') associé au réservoir de carburant indiquant le type de carburant pour lequel le réservoir de carburant (11) est destiné, et qui est agencé pour générer, lors de la comparaison du carburant détecté (H') ou du code détecté (15') avec des données fournies à l'avance, un signal vers le dispositif de commande (17) de la pompe à carburant (1) de manière à activer ou à désactiver le transfert de carburant du moyen de stockage de carburant (9) en question vers le réservoir de carburant (11) par la pompe.
