Abstract

 本発明の携帯通信端末は、第1無線通信システムに対応する第1無線通信手段102と、外部装置200を着脱自在に接続可能なインターフェース107とを備え、電池を電源として通信動作システムを立ち上げる携帯通信端末において、インターフェース107に接続された外部装置200が、第2無線通信システムに対応する第2無線通信手段202を備えているか否かを判定する判定手段112と、電池電圧低下が原因で通信動作システムが停止した後、再び立ち上げる際に、判定手段112が第2無線通信手段202を備えていると判定すると、第1無線通信手段102の立ち上げシーケンスを実行せずに、第2無線通信手段202の立ち上げシーケンスを実行して通信動作システムを立ち上げるように制御する制御手段112とを有する。これにより、電池電圧に応じたマルチモード通信を効率よく実行でき、ユーザの利便性の向上を図る。
