Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé de codage et décodage, qui rend compatibles entre eux des blocs transférés de différentes tailles. Le projet de codage et de décodage comprend les étapes suivantes : obtention des séquences de codage disposées par la manière de codage par entropie appliqué aux blocs de coefficients de transformation de grande taille en entrelaçant les coefficients extraits d'une pluralité de blocs de coefficients de sous-transformation de petite taille, de sorte que la manière de codage par entropie qui est appliquée aux blocs de coefficients de transformation de grande taille soit appliquée aux blocs de coefficients de transformation de petite taille. Il n'est donc pas nécessaire de redessiner la manière d'encodage par entropie, appliquée aux blocs de coefficients de transformation de petite taille, dans le système de codage basé sur le codage de blocs de tailles différentes avec la manière de codage par entropie appliquée aux blocs de coefficients de transformation de grande taille.
