　異常過電流で溶断する断面積減少部の許容電流を小さくすることができる、ＰＴＣ装置を提供する。 　互いに対向する一対の端子板２０，２２と、一対の端子板２０，２２に沿って一列に並び、一対の端子板２０，２２間に挟持され、一対の端子板２０，２２間に電気的に並列に接続されている複数のＰＴＣ素子１１とを有する。一対の端子板２０，２２は引出し端部２０ｂ，２２ｂがそれぞれ電源に接続される。一対の端子板２０，２２は、隣接する少なくとも１組のＰＴＣ素子１１の間に、断面積が部分的に小さい断面積減少部２０ｄ，２２ｄが形成されている。
