Abstract

A transfer apparatus (1) has at least one opened end, a cross-section area at one end larger than that at the other end, and transfers a plurality of articles whose gravity centers are positioned from the center in the longitudinal direction to one end side by vibration. The transfer apparatus is provided with a transfer section (10). The transfer section has a transfer groove for transferring the supplied articles by arranging them in a row in a laid status by vibration; and a pair of transfer arms (12d) formed by a slit (12c) arranged along the transfer direction of the transfer groove and transfer the article by supporting a lower supporting section on the article outer circumference between the one end and the gravity center. The article transferred in the laid status is set upright by the pair of transfer arms by using a difference between the position of the gravity center and that of the lower supporting section and is transferred along the pair of transfer arms in the upright status. Alternatively, the articles placed one over another in a nested status at one end are transferred along the pair of transfer arms in the laid status.
