Abstract

 本発明の表示装置は、光源(5)と、光源の出射光を拡散する拡散板(10)と、拡散板を支持する支持台(6)と、拡散板上に配される光学シート(7)と、支持台に取り付けられるとともに光学シートを避けて拡散板を押圧することにより支持台との間で拡散板を挟持する拡散板押え(21)と、拡散板に対向する表示パネル(2)とを備えている。本発明によると、剛性の大きい拡散板押え(21)で拡散板(10)を押圧することによって、昇温による拡散板(10)の反りを抑制することができる。そして、光学シート(7)は拡散板押え(21)に押圧されないため伸縮自在に配することができ、昇温によるしわを防止することができる。従って、拡散板(10)が大型になっても良好な表示画像を得ることができる。
