Abstract

Disclosed is an Mg-based alloy which is characterized by containing Ag, as an additional material other than Zn, in an amount of 1.98 at% or less. This Mg-based alloy has a practically sufficient strength, while having desirably good ductility at room temperature which cannot be achieved by conventional Mg-based alloys. In addition, this Mg-based alloy has small anisotropy in strength characteristics.
