Abstract

　プラズマディスプレイパネルは、互いに対向する第１基板および第２基板を有している。第１基板には、放電を発生させるための電極が設けられ、第２基板には、放電空間を仕切るための隔壁が、第２基板と一体に形成されている。そして、画像の表示領域は、隔壁の間に形成された放電空間により構成される。また、第２基板における表示領域の外周部に、額縁状の溝が、第２基板と一体に形成されている。そして、第２基板を第１基板に貼り合わせるためのシール材は、溝内に配置されている。溝内にシール材が配置されているため、隔壁と前面基板との隙間を低減でき、隣接するセルでの誤放電を防止できる。
