Abstract

A Rankine cycle system has an exhaust gas heat recovery device (15), a first bypass circuit (4), a second bypass circuit (5), control valves (V1, V2, V3), and control means (6). The exhaust gas heat recovery device (15) uses, as a first heat source for an evaporator (12), coolant for an engine (1) and recovers exhaust gas heat, as a second heat source for the evaporator (12), to the coolant, where the exhaust gas heat recovery is performed on the upstream side of the evaporator (12) in a Rankine cycle coolant circuit for the engine (1). The first bypass circuit (4) bypasses the exhaust gas heat recovery device (15) in a Rankine cycle coolant circuit (16). The second bypass circuit (5) bypasses the evaporator (12). The control valves (V1, V2, V3) selects any one of a flow flowing via the exhaust gas heat recovery device (15) and the evaporator (12), a flow flowing via the first bypass circuit (4), and a flow flowing via the second bypass circuit (5). The control means (6) controls selection between the control valves (V1, V2, V3).
