Abstract
面状照明装置は、光源1と、光を主面部から出射可能に構成された導光板7と、カバープレート13の横方向の領域に表面弾性波を伝搬させる複数の第1の光偏向領域形成体10と、カバープレート13の縦方向の領域に表面弾性波を伝搬させる複数の第2の光偏向領域形成体8とを備え、表面弾性波を伝搬させた横方向の領域と表面弾性波を伝搬させた縦方向の領域との交差領域から照明光12を出射する。
