Abstract
A decoration sheet made by using thermoplastic resin is disclosed. This invention comprises a polyurethane film of thickness between 20/M and 250/M and having adhesion at a predetermined temperature. The polyurethane film is made by adding polyamaid to polyurethane in an amount of between 5% and 40% by weight of the polyurethane film. Moreover, one side of the polyurethane film is printed with a predetermined design. Therefore, when the polyurethane film is attached on cloth after forming the printing layer, different feeling of the texture is reduced between the polyurethane film and cloth, and air, moisture, and sweat are penetrated through the cloth.
Description
Description
DECORATION SHEET MADE BY USING THERMOPLASTIC RESIN AND METHOD OF FABRICATING
THE DECORATION SHEET
Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to a decoration sheet, more specifically the decoration sheet made of thermoplastic resin capable of being strongly attached and reducing different feeling of the texture between a main material, such as cloth and the decoration sheet which is attached on the main material. Background Art
[2] Conventionally, designs, such as figures, letters, and numbers have printed with ink on a transfer film by using a silk-screen printing, and the designs on the transfer film are transferred on a material for example, clothing, paper, etc.
[3] While the designs of the transfer film are transferred into the material by using a heating and attaching method, it has been a problem that a portion of the designs are exfoliated from the transfer film and/or decolorized on the surface of the material when the transfer film on which applies an adhesive agent is heated and pressed, and then is separated from the material.
[4] For example, when a decoration sheet is attached on the material, the adhesive agent is applied on the decoration sheet, and the decoration sheet is dried for predetermined time and removed from the material, wherein examples of the decoration sheet are a flocking sheet, a deposition film, such as a gold thin film and a silver thin film, an embroidering sheet, and a glittering sheet. In this case, a process of manufacturing a frame for the silk screen printing is required to directly apply the adhesive agent to the material, and it is also required to pay attention to drying time after the adhesive agent is applied to the material.
[5] Moreover, a conventional polyurethane film is used for attaching a handbag, a car sheet and the uppers of leather in shoes, but texture of the material is significantly different from that of the surrounding material because the polyurethane film is too thick.
Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem
[6] To solve the above mentioned problems, an object of the present invention is to
provide the decoration sheet made of thermoplastic resin to strongly attach and to reduce difference of the texture between the transfer film which is attached on the material and the material.
Technical Solution [7] In order to achieve the object, the decoration sheet made of thermoplastic resin according to a first aspect of the present invention comprises: [8] a polyurethane film of thickness between 20/M and 250/M and having adhesion at a predetermined temperature, wherein the polyurethane film is made by aάϊng polyamaid to polyurethane in amount of 5% and 40% by weight of the polyurethane film. [9] [10] In order to achieve the object, the decoration sheet made of thermoplastic resin according to a second aspect of the present invention comprises: a luminescent film of being formed by mixing luminescent pigment and luminant in a thermoplastic resin.
[H]
[12] In order to achieve the object, the decoration sheet made of thermoplastic resin according to a third aspect of the present invention comprises: [13] a polyurethane film of thickness between 20/M and 250/M and having adhesion at a predetermined temperature; and a flocking sheet of attaching on one side of the p olyurethane film integrally. [14] [15] In order to achieve the object, the decoration sheet made of thermoplastic resin according to a fourth aspect of the present invention comprises: [16] a polyurethane film of having adhesion at a predetermined temperature; and; a deposition film of having a predetermined thickness and being attached on the polyurethane film. [17] [18] In order to achieve the object, the decoration sheet made of thermoplastic resin according to a fifth aspect of the present invention comprises: [19] a polyurethane film of having an attaching function at a predetermined temperature, and of doing embroidery corresponding to a predetermined design; and an attaching film of being attached on an opposite side of the polyurethane film on which the embroidery is done. [20] [21] In order to achieve the object, the decoration sheet made of thermoplastic resin
according to a sixth aspect of the present invention comprises:
[22] an embroidering sheet for doing embroidery according to a predetermined design; and a polyurethane film of attaching on one side of the embroidering sheet.
[23]
[24] In order to achieve the object, a method of fabricating the decoration sheet according to a seventh aspect of the present invention comprises the steps:
[25] cutting a polyurethane film wherein the polyurethane film is made of thermoplastic resin, has thickness between 20/M and 250/M, and has adhesion at a predetermined temperature; attaching the polyurethane film on a surface of a material with the predetermined temperature; and attaching a predetermined sheet on the polyurethane film with the predetermined temperature after folding the predetermined sheet on the polyurethane film to be attached on the surface of the material.
Advantageous Effects
[26] As illustrated above, when the transfer film is made of thermoplastic resin and attached on a material after a design is printed on the transfer film by using a digital printing or a real image printing, the texture of the film is less different from that of the material compared to the texture of a sheet made by using a silk screen printing or an offset printing. Moreover, the air, moisture, and sweats, etc are penetrated through the cloth.
[27] When the film of the present invention is used instead of the conventional adhesive to attach a decoration sheet on the material, the flame for the silk screen printing is unnecessary and the dry time is not taken care of, so the manufacturing process time of decorating material is reduced. Examples of the decoration sheet are a flocking sheet, a deposition film, such as a gold thin film and a silver thin film, an embroidering sheet, and a glittering sheet.
[28] Even though the decoration sheet with a film type is attached on the material, the toughness of the material is reduced after transferring to the material because the film is thin and smooth compared to the conventional sheet. Moreover, it is advantageous that the air, moisture or sweat is penetrated through valley made of yarns of the cloth because the film is not flown until the bottom of the valley when the film is absorbed to the cloth by pressing at a predetermined temperature. [38] The decoration sheet, which is made by forming the printing layer 120 on the film
100, is put on a material 160 such as clothes, a handkerchief, a sock, and a sheet for advertising. The decoration sheet is putted on the material, and is pressed at a predetermined temperature, i.e., 100 0C to 200 0C for 5 to 20 seconds, and then the decoration sheet is attached on the material 160 as shown in Rg. 1.
[39] When the decoration sheet attached on the material 160 is examined by using a microscope of over 20 magnifications, it is shown that only the film 100 is absorbed on a portion of the material 160, but is not absorbed in a valley formed from warps and wefts of the material. Thus, the air, moisture and sweat are penetrated through the valley on which the film 100 is not absorbed.
[40] The thickness of the film 100 is preferably 20/M to 250/M to penetrate the air, moisture and sweat through the material 160 even though the film 100 is attached on the material 160 as the above mentioned. When the film 100 is printed on with ink, a portion of the film 100 is melted due to the ink. Thus, when the thickness of the film 100 is less than 20 μm, almost the film is melted by the ink which forms the printing layer 120, and adhesive ability of the film is reduced because the film is so thin.
[41] Moreover, when the thickness of the film 100 is more than 80/M, the adhesion is improved, but to attach the film 100 on the material, the high temperature or the long pressure time is necessary, so the film 100 is absorbed to the valley of the material, so the air, the moisture, and the sweat are less penetrated through the valley.
[42] For one example, the decoration sheet is formed by sequently attaching a luminescent sheet (not shown) and an attaching film (not shown) on the one side of the film which is not printed. The luminescent sheet is formed by spreading a mixture of luminescent pigment and luminant on cloth.
[43] The attaching film which is attached on the luminescent sheet is made of thermoplastic polyurethane or hot melt.
[44]
[45] Rg. 2 shows a sectional view of a decoration sheet which is made of thermoplastic resin and includes a luminescent film according to a second embodiment of the present invention.
[46] The luminescent film 200 is formed by mixing with luminescent pigment, luminant and the thermoplastic resin, so a different color is appeared when a visible ray or ultraviolet light is illuminated. For example, when the ultraviolet light is illuminated, the color of the luminant is shown, and when the ultraviolet light is turned off, the color of the luminescent pigment is shown. One example of the thermoplastic resin is polyurethane.
[47] Aάϊtionally, the colors of the luminescent pigment and the luminant are light green, blue, and red respectively, and wanted color may be obtained by mixing the colors. In case of that the luminescent pigment of the light green color and the luminant of the red color are mixed, when the ultraviolet light is turned on, the red which is the color of the Luminant is shown and when the ultraviolet light is turned off, the light green which is the color of the luminescent pigment is shown.
[48] In one example, the luminescent pigment of 5% to 35% and the luminant 0.5% to
5% by weight of the polyurethane film are mixed with the polyurethane film.
[49] When the luminescent film 200 having light color is attached on a material having
heavy color, the heavy color of the material is shown by mixing with the color of the printing layer which is printed on the luminescent film 200. For example, when the color of the material is black and the color of the printing layer is white, yellow, or light green, etc, the black color of the material is shown through the printing layer. To prevent the heavy color of the material from showing through the film, another side of the luminescent film 200 which is an opposite side of the printing layer is attached on a protection sheet 220 formed of the cloth, PVC(Polyvinyl Chloride), etc. An adhesive film 240 is attached on another side of the protection sheet 220 so that the decoration sheet is completed. Thermoplastic polyurethane or hot melt is used as the adhesive film.
[50]
[51] Rg. 3 shows a sectional view of a decoration sheet which is made of the thermoplastic resin and includes a flocking sheet according to a third embodiment of the present invention.
[52] The decoration sheet made of the flocking sheet includes a film 100 formed of the thermoplastic resin, a cover film 140 of the film 100, and the flocking sheet 300 which is integrally attached on the one side of the film 100. A cover sheet 320 of the flocking sheet 300 is attached on the other side of the flocking sheet 300. For example, the cover sheet 320 of the flocking sheet 300 is a transparent cover sheet.
[53] The film 100 is made of the thermoplastic resin, and has thickness between 20/M to
250/M, and has adhesion at predetermined temperature. One example of the thermoplastic resin is a polyurethane film.
[54] When the film 100 on which the printing layer 120 is formed is attached on the material which has heavy color such as black, navy color, etc, comparably light color of the printing layer 120 is mixed with the comparably heavy color of the material and the mixed color is showen. To prvent the heavy color of the material from showing through the film 100, a predetermined shield film is used.
[55] One example of the shield film is white cloth. When the white cloth is attached on the film 100, the heavy color of the material is not shown through the film 100.
[56] For one example, Titanium Dioxide or white pigment of 5% to 40% by weight of the polyurethane is mixed with the thermoplastic resin to make the film 100 so as to protect the color of the material.
[57]
[58] Rg. 4 shows a sectional view of a decoration sheet produced by attaching a deposition film on a film made of the thermoplastic resin according to a fourth
embedment of the present invention. [59] The decoration sheet according to the fourth embodiment comprises a film 100, a cover sheet 140 of the film 100, and a deposition film 400. [60] The film 100 is made of the thermoplastic resin and has thickness between 20/M and
250/M, and has adhesion at a predetermined temperature. [61] When the decoration sheet is attached on a material, different feeling of the texture is reduced since the film 100 is thinner. Moreover, the predetermined temperature is
1000C to 2000C as above mentioned.
[62] Examples of the deposition film 400 are a gold thin film, a silver thin film, and so on.
[63] [64] Figures 5 and 6 show respectively a sectional view of a decoration sheet which is made of thermoplastic resin and includes an embroidering sheet according to an embodiment of the present invention. [65] In the fifth embodiment, after a pattern 520 is embroidered on an embroidery sheet
500, a film 100 which is made of thermoplastic resin is attached on one side of the embroidery sheet 500 to have adhesion at a predetermined temperature. [66] In the sixth embodiment, a film 100 is printed a predetermined design and is made of the thermoplastic resin, has adhesion. The design is embroidered on one side of the film 100 and an adhesive film 240 is attached on another side of the film 100, so as to complete the decoration sheet. [67] In this case, the film 100 of the fifth and the sixth embodiment has thickness between
20/M and 250/M. Moreover, the film 100 which is made of the thermoplastic resin and has thickness 20/M and 250/M, or a hot melt film is used as the adhesive film 240 of the sixth embodiment.
[68] The pattern 520 which is embroidered is handle-embroidered or computer-embroidered. Figure 5 shows one of the handle embroidered patterns and figure 6 shows one of the computer embroidered patterns. [69] [70] One embodiment of a method of fabricating the decoration sheet is described in detail as follows. [71] A film 100 is made of thermoplastic resin, has thickness between 20/M and 250/M thick, and has adhesion at a predetermined temperature. The film 100 is cut as the wanted designs. [72] The film 100 is put on a surface of a material, for example, clothes, a handkerchief, a signboard for advertising, and heated at 1000C to 2000C to attach on the surface. The
temperature is higher as the film is much thicker and time for pressing the film is longer depending on the thickness of the film.
[73] One of the flocking sheet, the deposition film, such as the gold thin film and the silver thin film, the embroidery sheet and a glitter sheet is put on the film 100 which is attached on the surface. The film is heated at a predetermined temperature and one of the flocking sheet, the deposition film, the embroidery sheet, and the glitter sheet is attached to the film 100 so that the decoration sheet is completed.
[74] For example, the film 100 is made of polyurethane among the thermoplastic resin, or polyurethane which is compounded with polyamide.
[75] Although the present invention has been described with reference to several exemplary embodiments, the description is illustrative of the invention and is not to be construed as limiting the invention. Various modifications and variations may occur to those skilled in the art, without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention, as defined by the appended claims.
