Abstract

 本発明は、ガラスの微小成形における問題を解決するため、大きな荷重を負荷することなくガラスの成形を可能とする技術を提供することを目的とする。  本発明のガラス材料の成形装置は、ガラス材料と成形用型を接触保持する機構、ガラス材料と成形用型を加熱する機構、およびガラス材料と成形用型の間に電圧を印加する機構を備え、ガラス材料表面と成形用型表面の間に働く静電引力により加圧成形を行うことを特徴としている。また、本発明のガラス材料の成形体は、アルカリ金属を成分として含むガラスの成形体であって、成形面近傍でガラス母材に比べアルカリ金属の濃度が低下していることを特徴としている。
