Abstract

 主信号伝送路中に設置された光中継器の内の一つで応答される監視信号を光主信号に重畳して該主信号伝送路に送出するとき、該主信号伝送路とは別に設けられ、該主信号伝送路中の光中継器に対応して光中継器が設置された光伝送路であるダークファイバに該光主信号を分岐させ、監視すべき所望のダークファイバからの光主信号を選択すると共に、該選択された光主信号から該監視信号を抽出して該所望のダークファイバの良否判定を行う。
