L'invention concerne un boîtier conçu pour stocker des disques, par exemple des disques compacts de type CD, des disques numériques polyvalents DVD et autres, qui comprend un système de libération permettant de libérer le disque après ouverture dudit boîtier. Selon l'invention, le boîtier comprend une base (1) formée par trois sections (2, 3, 4) et une plate-forme (7, 7') qui comporte au moins un élément de rétention de disque (16) qui libère ou qui retient au moins un disque par actionnement d'au moins un pivot (5) en fonction de la position d'ouverture ou de fermeture du boîtier. La plate-forme (7, 7'), qui peut contenir deux disques, constitue une pièce indépendante de la base (1) et bascule par rapport à au moins une charnière qui se prolonge depuis la première section (2) de la base (1).
