　本発明は爆発燃焼によるピストンの往復運動エネルギーを回転出力機構に効率的に伝達するエンジンを提供する。 　一軸線Ｘ上に第一シリンダー（１）と第二シリンダー（２）を対置し、該第一シリンダー（１）内の第一ピストン（３）と第二シリンダー（２）内の第二ピストン（３）を上記軸線Ｘ上に延在するピストンロッド（５）で直結して上記第一、第二ピストン（３），（４）とピストンロッド（５）とが一体に往復運動する構成を有し、該ピストンロッド（５）の中間延在部に該ピストンロッド（５）の往復運動を回転運動に変換する出力機構（８），（９）を連結したエンジン。
