Abstract
ια την μετατροπή παλινδρομικής κίνησης σε περιστροφή και ανάποδα ένα παλινδρομούν μέλος δρα επάνω σε ένα λοβό μιας ατράκτου. Μεταξύ των κερδών και των πλεονεκτημάτων που προκύπτουν από την επιλογή του προφίλ του λοβού, είναι η δυνατότητα ενός μονοκύλινδρου να είναι απόλυτα ζυγισμένος όσο αφορά τις αδρανειακές δυνάμεις, και ενός τρικύλινδρου σε σειρά ο οποίος είναι ζυγισμένος τόσο απόλυτα όσο ο κινητήρας Wankel, δηλαδή πλήρης ζυγοστάθμιση όχι μόνο όσο αφορά τις αδρανειακές δυνάμεις και τις, κατά μήκος του κινητήρα, αδρανειακές ροπές, αλλά επίσης και όσο αφορά τις αδρανειακές ροπές γύρω από τον άξονα του κινητήρα.
Αποδεικνύεται ότι η ΄μορφή του προφίλ του λοβού και η θέση του άξονα περιστροφής του, σε σχέση με τον άξονα της παλινδρόμησης, έχει απεριόριστες επιλογές. ΰ
