Abstract
A refrigeration device using refrigerating machine oil not immiscible with refrigerant and having a higher density than the refrigerant, in which electric power consumption while a compressor is stopped is suppressed. An air conditioner (1) has a compressor (21), a heat source-side heat exchanger (23), an expansion mechanism (24), a utilization-side heat exchanger (41), a refrigerant circuit (10) in which refrigerating machine oil immiscible with refrigerant and having a higher density than the refrigerant is sealed, and a crankcase heater (9) for heating that portion of the compressor (21) which is near the oil level (U). Before the compressor is stopped, the air conditioner (1) performs oil recovery operation for returning refrigerating machine oil distributed in the refrigerant circuit (10), and when the compressor is stopped, the air conditioner (1) activates the crankcase heater (9).
