Abstract

 光情報記録媒体への情報の再生、記録を、一対の対物光学素子への入射光束径を確保できる光学系によって好適に達成するための光ピックアップ装置を提供するために、第1半導体レーザ61Aから射出された光束の発散倍率を変換する第1コリメータ32と、第2半導体レーザ61Bから射出された光束の発散倍率を変換する第2コリメータ33と、第1コリメータ32から射出された光束を入射させるべき第1対物レンズ部12と、第2コリメータ33から射出された光束を入射させるべき第2対物レンズ部13とを有する対物部10とを備え、第1コリメータ32と第2コリメータ33との光軸間距離を、第1対物レンズ部と第2対物レンズ部の光軸間距離よりも長くした。これにより、両対物レンズ部12、13への入射光束径を大きく確保することができる。
