Abstract

平均繊維径が小さく、耐熱性に優れた無機化合物繊維を含み、濾材として用いた場合に好適な流体抵抗を有する不織布を提供する。例えば、耐熱性を有する平均繊維径がナノレベルの無機化合物繊維と、平均繊維径がマイクロレベルの無機化合物繊維とを特定の量比で並存させることにより、耐熱温度が１０００°C以上の平均繊維径が１０ｎｍ以上１μｍ以下である無機化合物繊維（Ａ）を、構成成分全体に対して１０質量％以上９０質量％以下含み、目付が５０ｇ／ｍ２以上２００ｇ／ｍ２以下であり、ＪＩＳ　Ｐ８１１７に準じて測定したガーレーＰ´（秒）を目付（ｇ／ｍ２）で割った値が、０．００１（秒・ｍ２／ｇ）以上０．０２０（秒・ｍ２／ｇ）以下である不織布を得る。
