Abstract

　分子量が極めて大きい硫酸化多糖であるフコイダンを医薬品、健康食品として開発する際に生じる、フコイダンの吸収性、抗原性、均一性、抗凝血活性等に関する問題を解消し、かつ良質の味質を持った、特定された構造と機能を有するフコイダン由来低分子化合物を提供する。フコイダンを酸加水分解して得られる低分子化合物を分析することにより、フコイダンオリゴ糖（I）～（XII）を同定した。さらに、これらオリゴ糖にはα－グルコシダーゼ阻害やリパーゼ阻害により糖質や脂質の吸収を阻害することによる肥満防止、血糖増加抑制作用があることが見出された。
